Trainees mentor undergrad REU students
We obtained an NSF REU Site grant (2008-2010). In the first summer, our IGERT fellows actively engaged in mentoring a diverse group of undergraduate REU students.
At the end of the summer project period, the students gathered with their mentors and advisors and each made a presentation of their REU research work to the group. The presentations are available on http://www.si.umich.edu/reu/projects.htm. The presentations include topics as diverse as Trading Agent Competition, School Choice, Home Computer Security, Finding Referrals through Knowledge Networks, and an empirical analysis of the New Jersey School Busing Auctions.
