Achievement

Second-year IGERT students completed a formal course in scientific ethics (3 credits) as part of the IGERT core curriculum, emphasizing ethics of laboratory practices, data interpretation, protection of intellectual property, authorship and ethical conduct. The class was highly beneficial to IGERT students, who indicated achieving a new awareness and perspective regarding scientific conduct and the role of science in society.
