New series of electron-donating chromophores
IGERT Fellow, Bright Walker, has been working on characterizing the optical properties, electronic levels, thin film morphologies, charge carrier mobilities and photovoltaic properties of a new series of diketopyrrolorpyrrole based, electron-donating chromophores. In addition, he has helped quantify the charge carrier mobilities of two new endohedral, Lutetium-containing fullerenes. An article has been published online in Nature Materials. Finally, he has prepared and purified a conjugated polyelectrolyte material and contributed to the preparation of two manuscripts relating to the electronic properties of conjugated polyelectrolytes as studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy. Articles have been published in Advanced Materials and ChemPhysChem.
