Achievement

The search for sustainable energy sources is a complicated task requiring interdisciplinary idea exchanges and teamwork; therefore, we developed an informal forum for idea exchanges. We believe this forum provides (1) an opportunity for students and investigators to discuss market-place, scientific, and policy ideas of sustainability; (2) an opportunity for students to hone their communication skills as they present ideas; (3) the development of a cohesive team, comprised of different research interest and training, all focused on a common goal and problem solving activity; and (4) a sense of community to aid in retention of all IGERT trainees.
