Achievement

We have provided opportunities for the IGERT Trainee to meet with research scientists from industry, government agencies, and national laboratories. The IGERT trainees and Associates had a separate time slot to meet with the speakers. We believe this offers the Trainee and other Associate students in the program an opportunity to discuss his/her area of specific scientific interest and broaden his/her knowledge of other disciplines involved in sustainable research. For example, the current IGERT Trainee had an opportunity to interact directly with Bond Calloway, Hydrogen Group Leader at Savannah River National Laboratory. This interaction will likely result in an internship.
