Achievement

The Seminar Series hosted by IGERT brought in 5 experts from various areas related to CFD with excellent beneficial effects on the students across departments (Dr. Hank Childs of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Dr. Akshai Kumar Runchal of Acri CDF Inc., Dr. David Hill of Pennstate, University, Dr. Paul Strykowski of Institute of Technology, University of Minnesota and Dr. Miroslav Krstic of University of California, San Diego. Both students and faculty collaborated on the invitations for these Seminar Speakers. In addition, in Spring 2009, three IGERT Students Seminars were presented. IGERT and Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) seminars were offered on the use of the advanced CDF techniques and implementation of MPI were attended by students across departments.
