Trainee Achievements
Trainees receive grants and awards
CIIP trainees are being exceptionally successful in receiving competitive grants and awards. Trainees Stephanie Koch and Josh Atwood have received NSF GRF’s following their IGERT awards. Trainee Kim Lellis has just received a 3-year scholarship to advance her research in invasive species plant ecology with NOAA’s research reserve network. Trainee Karen Sullivan just received NSF support to expand her research in forest management in China and she is a finalist for a Switzer Fellowship this year. Trainee Roche won a prestigious research grant that is allowing him to study the ecology and geology of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Trainee Abigail Anthony’s dissertation research is being supported by an NGO that she worked with as an IGERT Intern.
