This news article highlights a 3-month graduate student experience in Austria. IGERT students were hosted by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, near Vienna. They met with hydrology experts, scientists and academics who are involved in applying adaptive management approaches to various river systems in Europe. One expected outcome is a comparison of European river management to strategies to those used in management of the Platte River watershed.
