Liberty Island in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta
Wetlands are returning to Liberty Island, which formerly was used for agriculture. Research by Alison Whipple and the San Francisco Estuary Institute may guide California water agencies in restorations planned in other parts of the Delta.
