Description
The 3rd COSI@CU Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) Meeting and COSI@CU Conference took place on March 28 and 29 in Estes Park, CO. With more than 35 participants, this year’s edition included students and faculty from CU and representatives from nine companies including Ball Aerospace, Chiaro Technologies, Covidien, Double Helix, Hamamatsu Corporation, Lockheed Martin Coherent Technologies, Raytheon, Ricoh Innovations, and Schlumberger. The program included presentations by COSI director Rafael Piestun, students, company representatives, and external evaluator Stephanie Chasteen. Other formal activities included a very active poster session, several organized group discussions about various topics, and a very productive meeting of the COSI IAB. Social activities, such as the meal times, the afternoon hike or the night fire-ring, were integral parts of the meeting that allowed the participants to relate and network in more informal settings.
