2011 Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Symposium on Applications of Bio-membranes in Science and Technology
Description:
The Bioapplications of Membrane in Science and Technology IGERT at the University of Cincinnati (Dr. David Butler, PI; Drs. Millard, Dionysiou, Hoath, Fried [U Dayton], co-PIs), will sponsor a one-day, regional symposium on bioapplications of membranes across the length scales. The symposium will be co-sponsored by a related IGERT grant, Engineered Bioactive Interfaces and Devices, at the University of Kentucky (Dr. Kim Anderson, PI).
The IGERT Symposium will examine biological, biomedical, and engineering aspects of biomembranes across three length scales:
*Nano/molecular scale applications
*Micro/cellular scale applications
*Macro scale applications
Experts from academia, industry and government will speak on each of these topics. Students are invited to present bioapplication related membrane research in an interactive poster forum to other students, faculty and the invited speakers.
Please register for the meeting and attend this unique symposium: http://www.ceas3.uc.edu/biomemsymposium
While advance registration is required, the symposium will be free of charge.
