Also led by IGERT faculty Paul Voss, a new Spatial Regression workshop met 6 times during the spring. The workshop began as a result of continued need and demand for the course which is no longer funded by the IGERT project. Of the 15 students, 5 are graduate students or post-doctoral fellows affiliated with CPC. The workshop worked through the basics of spatial data analysis using both the GeoDa spatial modeling software and extended modeling applications in R. Professor Voss writes, "The central case study we employed was used to illustrate spatial autocorrelation, spatial regression modeling, and specialized extensions to these approaches."
