Achievement

Trainees Andrea Harrington and Millicent Schmidt, both graduate students in Geosciences, attended the Society of Toxicology 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting in Washington, DC (March 6-10). Andrea Harrington participated in a short course titled: "Quantitative In Vitro to In Vivo Extrapolation: The Essential Element of In Vitro Assay Based Risk Assessment" during the conference. As a result of this workshop she made several new contacts and was able to refine a protocol she developed to study the interaction of earth materials with epithelium cells.
