MSEN interdisciplinary program
Our IGERT courses have continued to add to the curriculum for our Materials Science (MSEN) interdisciplinary program, and will remain a continuing part of the offerings in the future. Among offerings by our IGERT faculty, Benzerga taught the new IGERT Nanomechanics course for a third time, now designated MSEN 608, while Cagin taught the new Computational Materials Science and Engineering Course, this year designated MSEN 670, to both IGERT and MSEN students. IGERT advisor Zacharia designed a new MSEN soft materials core course this year while Zhang and Teizer taught the core IGERT/MSEN courses 601 and 602 to increasing numbers of interdisciplinary students. Continuing their NUE grant, Karaman, Creasy, and Teizer developed the Nanomanufacturing course as a service course both for IGERT students as well as for advanced undergraduates.
