Trainee presents at Capitol Graduate Research Summit
In February, 2011, IGERT Trainee Lindsey Witthaus was one of 13 KU graduate students selected to discuss their work and how it benefits Kansans during the eighth annual Capitol Graduate Research Summit in Topeka. Witthaus presented her research on water quality in Kansas. She is using an interdisciplinary methodology that incorporates environmental engineering, ecology, and geography to gain a greater understanding of model inputs. Her work will also help policy makers appreciate how models can be used to guide environmental policy in Kansas.
