Trainee hosts symposium on wind energy
In November, 2010, IGERT Trainee Adam Sundberg organized and hosted a symposium, PRESERVATION AND INNOVATION: Climate Change, Agriculture, and Wind Energy in the Kansas Flint Hills. The symposium was open to the public and attracted more than 150 attendees. It was an opportunity for students and the community to hear varied perspectives on the development of wind energy in the Kansas Flint Hills. The event was moderated by Lawrence Gonzalez, EPA Regional Officer and included panelists supporting and opposing wind energy development.
