Seminars organized on health effects from WTC collapse
The 3MT IGERT program organized two half-day seminars related to the health effects caused by the collapse of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. Held around the tenth anniversary of the event, several experts provided a range of perspectives and stressed the complexity of decision making on the basis of incomplete knowledge and the unexpected suffering among first responders. Students and faculty showed great interest in the topic, which remains important in the NYC metropolitan area.
