Team develops course for public health leaders in Asia
Principal Investigator Bruce Wilcox with trainees Holly Jessop and Kira Krend helped design and organize a USAID co-sponsored Emerging Zoonotic Disease short course in for public health leaders in Southeast Asia. The course was held in September 2011 at the Faculty of Public Health at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand and focused on an interdisciplinary/EcoHealth approach to public health. Krend and Jessop worked to synthesize and organize large amounts of information to create presentations and materials suitable for non-native English speakers. The team also helped provide instruction and lead discussions.
