Achievement

Trainee and AGEP member, Shavonne Hylton, served as a biological sciences poster judge and mentor at the HBCU-UP 2009 National conference. She easily participated in all of the AGEP-IGERT-'Bridge to the Doctorate' gatherings at the conference in Atlanta while representing and recruiting for our 3MT-IGERT and AGEP programs at Stony Brook University. Within the 3MT program, Shavonne’s scientific training in Geosciences (doctoral candidate) and Biological Sciences (B.S., Harvard) makes the integration of the two disciplines and focal points of the program seamless.
